A gang-related shooting outside a Richmond District car stereo shopSaturday evening and a fight early Sunday that escalated into a stabbingat a popular dance club near Union Square left four men injured, two withlife-threatening injuries, police said. In the first incident, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, police said, an exchange ofgunfire left two men in their mid-20s suffering from bullet wounds outsidea car stereo shop and an auto parts store located on Geary Boulevardbetween Second and Third avenues. Both were taken by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital. One haslife-threatening injuries and the other is in better condition, policesaid. The shooter, also in his mid-20s, fled in an older, dark-colored vanand the Police Department's gang task force is investigating, police said. At 1:45 a.m. Sunday, police said, one man in his early 30s and another inhis early 20s got into a fight at Ruby Skye, a dance club on the 400 blockof Mason Street. The older man stabbed the younger one multiple times, andwhen a third man, also in his early 20s, tried to intervene, the older manstabbed him, too, police said. The older man was arrested, police said. The man who was stabbed first wastaken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening wounds,while the second victim was in better condition.
